I’ve been too busy reading comics to write about them apparently. How has it been 11 days since my last post? Time just gets away from me sometimes. I’ve been using the DC Universe app a lot since it came out; and have been having fun with it. I go on there probably four or five times a day and just read a comic or two, watch an episode of something, or chat on the message boards.
Oh, and I wanted to tell everybody that I got a prize pack for being a “Community Hero”. Wich is I guess a prize for generally having decent behavior on the message boards and answering peoples request for recommendations and the like. I thought it was really cool and I was excited to get it. I got two action figures, 2 trades, and 5 single issue comics. Here is the letter that came with it:
In the mornings I get up and read a comic book while I have my coffee and in the evenings I’ve been watching the DC Daily episodes to unwind a bit. As far as the new show, I am loving Titans so far. I’m even beginning to warm up to this version of Starfire a little bit.
I’m happy enough with the service but they do have a few issues that I hope they can improve on. I won’t get into each minuscule nit-pick. My single biggest issue is that they need to make improvements to the comic curation. I don’t have a problem with the quantity of the comics (Around 2500, as advertised.); my problem is that good chunk of those are incomplete stories. That’s just not cool. There has been some indication that they are aware of the general satisfaction of users about that; but so far they have only made a few tweeks to the site since the launch. I am eagerly awaiting more news, hopefully in December.
