Happy Halloween ComicFest 2018!

Happy Halloween Comicfest.  I got a few freebies today and hit the buy 1 get 2 free sale at my LCS.  Also picked up all four of the Walmart #4’s… However, now I have parts of mini series that I’m going to have to put on my fill list so I can get the missing parts.

Tomorrow I will be carving pumpkins with my son, and after that I think I’m going to order pizza and veg out with the TV.  Hope you are all having a lovely weekend, whatever you may be doing.  🙂

I've been reading and collecting comics since the early 1980's. My absolute favorite comic characters are Dick Grayson, and Kitty Pryde, but I like lots of others too! I started collecting single issue comics when I was about 7 or 8 years old and it's been a lifelong passion of mine.

  1. Consider me jealous on that Superman #1 poster!

I snagged 3 of the 4 #4s on Friday at one Walmart–with ZERO sign of the Superman #4.

At my LEAST-FAVORITE local Walmart Saturday, found the Superman issue. Go figure..? At least I have ’em all…

I snagged the Hellblazer and the mini TMNT comic; none of the others really grabbed my interest offhand.

    1. Haha, it’s a nice poster, yeah? I’ve got a few posters that I keep saying I’m going to get frames for, my favorite of which is an original movie poster of The Crow that came from a local theater. Glad you were able to find your #4s. 🙂

      1. I’m a Superman guy…what can I say? 🙂

Very cool on that Crow poster!

At one point I had a huge, vinyl poster of Kull, from some theater (by way of stuff with school).

I’ve taken to framing posters that I hang…though I’ve got several posters I WANT to hang that I haven’t, because I can’t find good-sized frames for the price(s) I have in mind, and I do not want to pay for “custom” framing at present.

        I have a whole wall of framed mini-posters… 🙂

  2. Oh, I know about the cost of frames. :-/ $30+++ for a plastic frame for a $5 poster, and the custom framing can get expensive fast. I had to google Kull and see what the movie posters looked like. Fun. 🙂
